The G.Tripod 230 is an EN795 (class B) + TS16415 anchorage device that is durable and lightweight. It provides a secure and stable anchorage for confined space access. Maximum working load (MWL) 200kg for personnel (safety factor 10:1), and 250kg for loads. It may be used as an anchor by more than one person simultaneously, providing the MWL is not exceeded. The three-pulley head means that equipment can be fitted to any of the legs. The mounting eyes on the underside of the head allow for equipment to also be fitted beneath the head, such as a chain hoist. May be used in conjunction with the G.Winch and G.Saver II.
The G-Saver II is a retractable fall arrest device which features a combined rescue winch to raise or lower the user to safety, should a fall occur. The G-Saver II should be used in fall arrest mode with the winch mechanism disengaged in order to protect the user from a fall. Should a fall occur, the steel cable is pulled out at an accelerating rate and when a speed of 1.5 m/sec is reached the braking system activates, arresting and cushioning the fall. Once the fall has been arrested, the winch mechanism can be engaged and the user can either be raised or lowered to safety. The G-Saver II eliminates the need for additional equipment to retrieve the users and prevents them from being suspended for a long period of time awaiting rescue by other means.
The RGH5 is designed for use as a confined access harness. The front and rear attachment points can be used as standard fall arrest points and the rescue strap can be used for lifting and lowering. When used, the rescue strap keeps the operative in a near vertical position, which is preferred when recovering an unconscious casualty. This harness is used throughout the industry in conjunction with a tripod and a winch unit to access confined spaces, vertical shafts, sewers and silos. As with all of the RidgeGear harnesses, the RGH5 is suitable for use with fall arrest-retrieval blocks.
